"Good morning! My name is Raquel Campus from Josie’s Hideout Saloon in Santa Ysabel CA.
We are currently in the process of putting together an event to raise funds for students with autism in the back country October 8, 2022 This will be our first annual event that we as Josie’s Hideout will be putting on. We are looking for those who would be as generous to donate to our cause.
We have chosen autism for our first annual ride because it is something dear to our hearts here at Josie’s Hideout as myself and one of our Josie’s Ladies both have sons with autism. We are very close with each of our customers and many share our same story.
Some of the symptoms of autism include:
- Delayed language skills.
- Delayed movement skills.
- Delayed cognitive or learning skills.
- Hyperactive, impulsive, and/or inattentive behavior.
- Epilepsy or seizure disorder.
- Unusual mood or emotional reactions
Our goal is to help bring comfort to children with autism when these symptoms arise and/or minimize discomfort in the classroom when things may feel overwhelming.
Your kind donation to this great cause would be entered into our raffle/auction on October 8, 2022
All donations, entry funds for raffle tickets & auction funds will be used for these students.
How will funds raised from your donated item go into helping?
We will be personally making sensory bags!
This will include:
-A draw string backpack
-A sensory item that is hands on for example:
(fidget, monkey tails, ect.)
-A pair of noise canceling headphones
We appreciate you taking the time to read and learn about our cause and hope to hear from you!
All our best, Josie’s Hideout"
